Hi. I’m Soledad Agüero.
And I am the founder of Semillar Translations.
This beautiful agritranslator life started in 2013.
Back then, I had a regular 9 to 5 job. On the outside, my life was perfect. I had everything a person ‘can ask for’: a great job, a house, a loving partner, and two loyal furry friends that made our happy family complete.
However, I got to the point where I stopped really enjoying things. I was too tired of running a rat race in the big city. I spent most days either stressed up or locked up in the office. I was tired of living from my window.
And that’s when it hit me: I needed a radical change to reconnect with myself and nature. I longed to feel the fresh air in my face.
So, one fine day, my partner and I finally took a leap of faith and quit our jobs and packed our things. We left that comfy lifestyle to pursue a wild and scary dream.
I was moving to Argentina’s rural heartland to translate for the agricultural sector… and to become a small farmer myself. Way to go, city girl!
And here, I started to breathe, speak, and live agriculture 24/7. And to translate about it.
You surely know that agriculture is a complex field. It’s not just the specific lingo. If you want to work in the AG sector, you need to be on the farmer’s shoes. And that is what sets me apart.
Unlike other linguists in the market, I offer you a perfect combo. That is a degree in translation, professional background in different agricultural agencies, and the hands-on experience I get from my own fields.
To grow and thrive in Latin American soil, you need somebody who knows the Ag sector inside out. And that’s why I’m here.
When I am not working, I like spending my time off in our vineyards. We have the most breath-taking sunsets that we enjoy from amidst our fruit trees in our super quiet spot.
Of course, we are never short of wine (we are in Mendoza!), which we love to share with friends and family over a relaxed chat.
Now that you know me better, don’t be a stranger. I’d love to hear from you!
Food production is a key activity for human development. That’s why this sector requires a skilled linguist who can face the challenge it poses.
I’ll take good care of your translations, so your company grows strong and healthy in Latin American soil.
VITICULTURE & WINEMAKING
I am based in one of the most prestigious wine regions in the world. That’s why I have firsthand knowledge of the wine industry: from the vineyard to the winery.
Besides, I have translated lots of documents for the most relevant national and international wine organizations.
- Vineyard Management
- International Trade
I live in an arid region, so I understand the value of natural resources like water, and I worry about my carbon footprint.
If you worry, too, and want to make a difference, let’s cultivate your green ideas in Latin American soil.
- Climate Change
- Land Rights
- Indigenous Peoples
This is what I’ll do for you, so you can break the language barrier with Latin America effectively and pull ahead of your competitors:
I’ll translate your materials into Spanish and will adapt them to your target audience, without neglecting the terminological accuracy nor the content.
Editing and proofreading
Flawless texts with a Latino touch. I’ll polish your materials and make them sound natural in Spanish.
Other linguistic services
Let’s set up a free 30-minute virtual meeting to get to know each other. That way, you’ll get to tell me what your business needs, and I will be able to offer you a tailored solution.
